Timothy Ray Wells, 52, Independence, MO., formerly of Meriden, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Holton Community Hospital. He was born January 11, 1960 at Topeka, the son of Robert F. and Charlotte N. Dick Wells. He was a 1978 graduate of Jefferson West High School and earned a B.S. Degree in English Literature from Baker University in 1982. Timothy worked as a Volunteer for the Trails West Branch of The Kansas City Public Library system in Independence. He is survived by his devoted friend, Pete Kahovec, Independence, MO., his parents, Robert “Red” and Charlotte Wells, Meriden, two brothers, Chris (Jan) Wells, Meriden, Bruce (Susan) Wells, Topeka, one sister, Pamela (Todd) Holaday, Holton, two nephews, Brian Wells and Reese Holaday, and three nieces, Jamie Wells, Quinn Holaday, and Faith Holaday. A Memorial Visitation Gathering will be from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, Sunday at the Meriden United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be at the Meriden Cemetery.
