Eunice “Nadine” Kenison, 89, of McLouth, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the F.W. Huston Geriatric Center, Winchester, KS. She was born February 11, 1923 at Chanute, KS., the daughter of Charles John and Signa Elinor Bergsten Anderson. She was a 1940 graduate of Chanute High School, she then attended classes at Emporia State University. Nadine married Fred LeRoy Kenison on August 26, 1942, in Chanute, KS., He preceded her in death on January 17, 2012. Together they operated K & K Distributors selling and delivering sundry items throughout the state of Kansas , and was also an Elementary school teacher for 5 yrs. She was an active parent, working with the PTA in Iola, KS., for all of their children. Nadine was also known for her superb pies she made. Survivors include, four Daughters, Patricia “Patty” Ann Peres, Shoreview, MN., Judith “Judy” Dalton, McLouth, KS., Jeanne Baze, Lawrence, KS., and Anita Douglas, Bentonville, AR., 15 Grandchildren, and 21 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters. Memorial services will be 2:00PM Sunday at the Barnett Family Funeral Home in Oskaloosa, visitation will be 1-2:00PM prior to the service. A private family burial will be held Friday, July 14 at the Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, KS.
